Super excited to finally be sharing images from the Styled Winter Wedding shoot I organized in February. I was extremely lucky to find amazing collaborators that helped bring my vision to life. I wanted a winter inspired old english country wedding… I know sounds like a big feat, but I feel we captured that idea quite well. Firstly, a huge thank you to my gorgeous models- Becky Sturge & Mike Pigot(you may recognize his name, he happens to be Executive Chef Pigot the brilliant mind behind the menu at Home & Away). I want to tell you about the awesome vendors involved in this session-
Lowell from Ed Williams Menswear put together the groom’s incredible suit, we wanted a tweed to add to that old English Country feel, as well as the wintery cold storminess. I was so impressed with the suit options, Lowell has a fantastic store and can really customize the look for your wedding day. If you want to stand out from the crowd I highly recommend giving him a call!
Local Calgary designer, Laura George, hand selected the bride’s incredible modern lace gown. It truly captured a blend of old with new. Laura has so many beautiful original styles, and also can modernize old gowns.
I cannot express how incredible the florals were for this shoot. Erin, the owner of Sparkling Dahlia is truly gifted. I gave her the colors I was hoping to see and possible textures, and she created the most stunning bridal bouquet, floral crown as well as all the greenery on the table and cake. If you need a creative, knowledgeable florist Erin is your girl!
Kassandra, from Cupcakes by Kassandra, created a beautiful multi-layered naked cake. Her cakes and cupcakes are not only beautiful but delicious!
I have been lucky enough to know Chantal, of Si Belle Salon, created a gorgeous deconstructed braid for our bride. Her hair design added a romantic feel completed by the floral crown. Chantal specializes in non-damaging hair extensions and hair loss replacement as well.
I’m a huge thrifter, in fact I take pride in the treasures I’ve found and always love a good hunt. But I just couldn’t quite find what I was looking for on my own for this shoot. Thankfully, Brooke from the Cellar Door Vintage Rentals has the most incredible selection of vintage rentals. And often if you don’t see what you’re looking for in her showroom she can track in down. That gorgeous red velvet chair? Yup, that’s one of Brooke’s amazing pieces.
And last but not least Cassidy Paige was our make up artist and completed the bride’s look with an old Hollywood inspired looked finished with a deep red lip.
I cannot express enough gratitude to everyone involved, I’m so thrilled with how everything turned out, and I’m so looking forward to working with everyone again!
