Dani + Devin – Canmore, AB Engagement

When I heard Devin used to live in Canmore, AB, I knew we had to go there for Dani + Devin’s engagement session. He had the inside knowledge on amazing little spots, and I love using locations that mean something to my clients. These two frequent Canmore often so it seemed like a no brainer.

Mother nature played games with us for weeks… and finally on a day that the forecast seemed promising we went for it. As I pulled up to the house of a good friend of theirs it was raining… I was holding onto faith that the forecast might actually be accurate(it often is not here… lol). So as we chatted over a drink, there is was, the clouds parted and the sun beamed into the little log house! We set off up a large hill where I quickly realized forgetting my winter boots was an unfortunate mistake lol I must say my Toms held up well and I managed even with wet feet! I may have had to clutch Devin’s arm the way down(a true gentleman) but thankfully I stayed vertical!

When I was first contacted by Dani about her wedding day, this coming August in beautiful Kimberley, BC, I could tell we would make a great team. As most of you know I was born and raised on what I lovingly call the most beautiful place on earth- Vancouver Island. I often express the magic of that island, and how you truly don’t understand unless you’ve been there. Island folk are a special breed. I almost have a strange 6th sense for sniffing out fellow Islanders here in Alberta. So it was no surprise when Dani told me, she too was born and raised on my beloved island, she too a kindred island spirit!

I’m so looking forward to the party these two will be hosting at the incredible Cherry Creek Estates! The best part of my job is the people I have the honour of meeting, and experiencing such incredible moments in their lives. Dani + Devin here’s to the best year of your lives!

I hope you enjoy,
